So far, the college has proudly produced over 1144( Till December 2020) graduates and more than 259 post graduate nurses.

Principal's Message

The Regional College of Nursing was established way back in Dec 1977. The institution is located in the beautiful picturesque of Narakasur Hill Top, Indrapur, Guwahati, Assam. This government pioneer premier institute is the pride of the North East in the field of Nursing Education. This institute is taking leading role in producing qualified nursing personnel throughout the North Eastern region. The College runs two courses i.e. B.Sc. (N) and M.Sc. (N) programme recognized by Indian Nursing Council and under Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences and Government of Assam and also many more training programs are conducted time to time for the entire North East India.
The institution aims to provide an educational environment to prepare world class nursing graduates and post graduates who would be resuming responsibility in promotion of health and prevention of diseases of the people and community at large.
The courses offered facilitates talented female student aspirant to become independent, self confident, competent in the society and thereby strengthening the health care system and establish women empowerment.

So, I welcome all aspirants who are interested in university level nursing program and wish them all very best in future to serve in the society. The graduates and post graduates are adhering to a professional code of ethics and commitment. The institution is assessing practices that ensure to professional improvement in quality health care services. The students are prepared to reach out to the population of ages and gender at their home or primary health care centres with the aim of providing basic health care services. The Regional College of Nursing plays a vital role in North East to provide nursing professional graduates with expertise, proficiency, competence, essential leadership skill for the service of mankind.
The qualified nurses highlight the multifaceted nature of professionalism in nursing which encompasses a range of knowledge, skills practice and behaviors that are essential for providing high quality care to patients. By upholding the standards of professionalism, nurse can help to enhance the reputation and effectiveness of the nursing profession as a whole.
