Background of the Faculty Development Programme:
Under the dynamic leadership of Principal, Regional College of Nursing, the felt need of Faculties about a faculty Development Programme reached to Government of Assam following which, with the initiation of Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Dhruba Jyoti Borah, Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Guwahati, Assam, Dr. Sujit Bordhan, Registrar, SSUHS, Prof. (Dr.) Rocket Chandra Brahma, Registrar (Academic), SSUHS, Prof. (Dr.) Marami Dutta, OSD to VC, SSUHS entrusted the responsibilities for planning and organizing the FDP at Regional College of Nursing.
Planning of the FDP
Principal, RCN called for a meeting among the faculties and selected three faculties as coordinators for the FDP and also different committees headed by faculties were formed and were assigned with various works related to the FDP.
Faculty Development Programme at Regional College of Nursing:
The Programme was started at 8.30 am on 16th May 2023 with lamp lighting and felicitation of resource persons followed by welcome address by Principal, RCN. The two days went on with inaugural session, different presentations and scientific sessions and other learning activities. The programme ended with the valedictory session on 17th May, evening.
